Request Account & Data Deletion

At HiPop Markets, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, we will process your request in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials
  • Profile Data: Business/organization name, bio, phone number, website, social media handles
  • User Content: Vendor profiles, market listings, product information, uploaded photos
  • Application History: Vendor applications, market registrations, and related messages
  • Preferences: Saved favorites, notification settings, and user preferences
  • Activity Data: Usage history, search queries, and interaction records

What May Be Retained

In certain limited circumstances, some data may be retained:

  • Legal Compliance: Data required to be retained by law or for legal proceedings
  • Financial Records: Transaction records required for accounting and tax purposes
  • Backup Systems: Data in backup systems may persist for up to 90 days before automatic deletion
  • Aggregated Data: Anonymized, aggregated data used for analytics (cannot be traced back to you)

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated data, please follow these steps:

Send an Email Request

Subject Line: Data Deletion Request

Include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your HiPop Markets account
  • Your full name
  • Account type (Vendor, Market Organizer, or Shopper)
  • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
  • Any additional context or concerns (optional)

Alternative: Delete from the App

You can also delete your account directly from the HiPop Markets mobile app:

  1. Open the HiPop Markets app
  2. Go to your Profile/Settings
  3. Select "Account Settings"
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision

Processing Timeline

We process data deletion requests promptly:

  • Acknowledgment: Within 1-2 business days, we'll confirm receipt of your request
  • Processing: Account deletion typically takes 3-5 business days
  • Completion: You'll receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
  • Backup Removal: Data in backup systems will be automatically removed within 90 days

Important Considerations

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Before requesting deletion, please be aware:

  • You will lose access to all your vendor/organizer/shopper data
  • Any pending applications or registrations will be cancelled
  • You will not be able to recover your account or data after deletion
  • If you want to use HiPop Markets again, you'll need to create a new account
